North Forty is a locally owned, custom commercial millwork shop located 10 minutes northeast of Regina. Our beginnings date back to 1998, when Roly Thibault was searching for mission-style furniture. He was inspired by a picture he found in a magazine and thus began designing and building his own furniture. His craftsmanship was so appealing in style and quality that friends and relatives were clamoring for his pieces. His new-found passion was so successful, Roly made the decision to retire from the Regina City Police to start up North Forty Fine Furniture, which specialized in creating quality custom furniture pieces and cabinetry.
Success came early and as the company grew, Roly diversified his business by adding customer commercial cabinetry to his product offerings. Commercial cabinetry sales were so successful, North Forty landed the #1 spot in the 2003 “100 Success Stories - 15th Annual WOOD 100 Report”. Given the tremendous success in the commercial cabinetry business, Roly made the strategic decision to exit the customer furniture market and focus exclusively on the commercial millwork side.
Roly has since retired and his partners, Ken Wills (General Manager) and Justin Elliott (Shop Manager) now manage the business. Ken started with North Forty in 2007, bringing with him extensive construction and management experience. Justin started with North Forty following high school in 2003. His extensive knowledge of North Forty’s business operations is a result of his hard work learning and performing all the production roles and responsibilities required for every project. Ken and Justin are very passionate about the work of North Forty and fulfilling its legacy of providing exceptional millwork at competitive pricing.
